Another years Best of Food Survey has come and gone, and the BOF issue hits the stands this week. Here are some of My selects that may not have made it to print.

Aqua restaurant

These guys CLEANED UP in 8 categories this year, so we spent the afternoon with the staff and Chef Mark putting together a couple of shots to choose from.

Yellowbelly Brewery

We spent a morning with Liam and the gang from Yellowbelly – I don’t know much about beer, but I know what I like, and that its really fun talking beer with a brewmaster. Oh, if you haven’t tried in a while, grab a pint of their pale ale on tap, he’s rejigged the recipe over the last little while. I was surprised at the difference!

Freak Lunchbox

My expanding waistline tells me to stay away from freak lunchbox, but all of the colours and awesome staff say different. I believe these guys won for best place to fill a sweet tooth, and best milkshakes.

Wing ‘n’ it

This May be the quickest, funniest shoot i’ve done in a while. There was some scheduling issues in setting this one up, but we got it done in record time before the supper crowd. Not only that, but fresh faced Chris got to find out that bbq sauces don’t work well as after shave, they just burn… a lot.
